The study analyses experience of a Ukrainian asylum seeker in Germany, one of the leaders of European countries, that is concerned with the problems of displaced people, provides social protection and humanitarian assistance within the framework of various government programmes. The study is based on the premise that Ukrainian refugees are experts in their own experience of socialisation / social adaptation in a foreign country, and that communication skills are an element of the psychological stability of Ukrainians. Evaluation of the respondents' life experience was carried out by qualitative and quantitative methods. The total sample of the study is 78 people (59 female and 19 male) from 35 families living in Wiesbaden, Russelsheim on the Main, Taunusstein (Germany). We compared effects of stress resistance in each of the groups by the following points: male, female, children; at the time of arrival and long stay in a foreign country; adaptability of children to conditions from these families. The results show that men and women who have leading roles in their families face more stress, and possess resistance skills relatively better than those who have ... The indicator of perception of the social situation by refugees differs, – between those who have just arrived and those who have already had social experience of living in new conditions for some time.
